Achilles UVDB Verify Scheme

We are registered with and assessed by Achilles’ Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) Verify Scheme. Previously assessed as part of RSK, we have had a stand-alone accreditation since November 2014 following extensive audits on both office and site-based ground investigation activities.

Achilles is the world’s leading provider of supplier management information. All major UK utility providers use Achilles’ UVDB registration and pre-qualification system to source suppliers and contractors. Verify is an extension to UVDB and is used to qualify suppliers further by assessing their safety, health, environment and quality capabilities. Achilles promotes supply chain efficiencies, independent assessment and benchmarking, credibility in the marketplace and industry-specific assessments. Our current scores for the UVDB audit are 100% for each category of desk and site-based assessments, undertaken in February 2024.

Operators Licence

Since 2021, we have held a restricted operator’s licence, enabling equipment to be transported to site in 7 tonne Class 3 HGVs. Our four IVECO vans are Euro 6 compliant, run AdBlue NOx reduction systems and, with the increased payload, reduce the need to tow trailers with drilling plant to many sites and to send multiple support vehicles to sites. This change to our logistics management has reduced the number of vehicles and associated mileage and carbon emissions required to mobilise to sites.
